currently the dashboard support 3 selections : 'last 7 days' (default), 'last 30 days', 'All',
when there isn't enough the data, the dashboard will show whatever it have. this good on the one side, but on the other the customer can't know what is the period that the data represents.
i suggest to add a notes near the selection for exmaple :
after choosing 'last 30 days' there will be text : showing data starting 10/10/2020
anot option is to add a note : "we are still collecting your data. showing data staring 10/10/2020".
this feature had additional impact for new customers - it affects the initial experience in terms of the maturity of the dashboard.
